Lakefront haven brings 'A Month of Family Fun Packed into a Single Week'

MONKEY ISLAND, OKLAHOMA - Shangri-La Resort, Oklahoma's premier waterfront golf and outdoor recreation destination, is proud to announce and action packed and activity-filled Spring Break Week that has excitement for every member of the sun-and-fun-seeking family, March 15 - 23.

Shangri-La, the beloved resort on northeastern Oklahoma's Grand Lake O' The Cherokees, will host an exciting array of events and festivities for the entire family. Special Sprig Break attractions will include dueling piano entertainment, an exclusive hot-air balloon glow, live music, karaoke, TV-game-show fun, St. Patrick's Day specials, a trivia competition, a three-day Kid's Spring Break Camp - all topped off with a Food & Wine festival complete with the official roll-out of "Monkey Island Maker's," a special house blend whisky created exclusively by Maker's Mark. Limited-time discounts on hotel room rates are also available during this thrilling kick-off to the spring season at Shangri-La.

The fun begins Friday evening, March 15 with a special performance by the talented Scott Musick at Doc's Bar & Grill at 6:00 p.m. Saturday night, March 16 is "Saturday Night Game Show Night" with an evening of fun competition in the sports bar at The Anchor Activity Park. Sunday, March 17, is dedicated to St. Patrick's Day celebrations with special offerings at all resort dining & drinking venues.

SPRING BREAK KIDS' CAMP AT THE ANCHOR
Fun starts for the kids with a special "Spring Break Kids' Camp" at The Anchor with four days of fun and games for ages 6-13 Monday-Thursday, March 18-21. The $250 fee includes a four-day schedule (beginning at 9:30 Monday & Thursday, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday & Wednesday) including pickleball lessons, foosball, ping-pong, pool, shuffleboard, singo, camp games, kickball, putt-putt golf, fishing, water balloons, a scavenger hunt, and free arcade play. Lunch is included for the kids every day with camp ending at 3:00 p.m.

SPRING BREAK SCHEDULE OF FUN ACTIVITIES AT SHANGRI-LA RESORT
Tuesday evening, March 19, the agenda includes a special performance in the Roosevelt Ballroom at 7:00 p.m. by "Killer Keyz," the top-rated dueling piano show in the country. Cost is $25 to the dueling piano show for non-hotel guests, but admission is included in the special "Spring Break Room Rate" for hotel guests. A kids' activity is also scheduled at The Anchor during the dueling pianos performance.

MARCH 20 HOT AIR BALLOON GLOW TO HIGHLIGHT EVENING FESTIVITIES
Wednesday evening, March 20 promises to be an incredible evening for the entire family. The festival fun begins at 6:00pm on the resort hotel's Grand Lawn with food & beverage offerings, concessions, music and games for kids of all ages. As the sun sets, attendees will enjoy one of the nation's most incredible hot-air balloon glows. The spectacle includes the colorful Champagne Cowboy balloon, among others, to top off an evening of special memories.

Thursday night, Jason Morgan leads the karaoke fun for the entire family at Doc's Bar & Grill beginning at 6:00. Friday night, JR Neal will provide live music at Doc's, also beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 23 promises to be an incredibly special evening featuring a sumptuous Food & Wine Festival on The Anchor Lawn including many vendors and live music by Rockwell. In addition to delicacies from area restaurants, Shangri-La will utilize the festival to feature the public roll-out of "Monkey Island Maker's," a special whisky blend prepared exclusively for Shangri-La by Maker's Mark. Admission is $50 per person for the festival and food & beverage sampling ($35 for Shangri-La members)

SPEND SELECTION SUNDAY AND THE START OF MARCH MADNESS AT THE ANCHOR
Sports fans are never left out of the activities at The Anchor. March Madness "Selection Sunday" will be televised live at The Anchor Sports Bar with coverage of the "First Four" games Tuesday & Wednesday, and first and second round NCAA Tournament games Thursday- Sunday.

In addition to the "Spring Break Week at Shangri-La" special events, The Anchor activity park offers a full sports bar, an fun-packed arcade with traditional arcade favorites as well as virtual reality games. The simulator bay offers LaserShot shooting as well as Trackman golf play.
